How to change your property management

If you're not happy with your current property manager, the good news is it's easy to switch to BonVilla Property. In fact, Jane can manage most of the process for you. Here's how it's done:

  • Call Jane on 02 4089 2250 and tell her you'd like to transfer your property portfolio to BonVilla Property.
  • Jane will arrange for your current agency to be informed, request the necessary paperwork, and complete it on your behalf.
  • You sign the completed copy and notice to terminate your contract with the agent.
  • Jane sends the notice your current agent and collects the keys and files from them.
  • She'll also notify your tenants in writing and introduce herself over the phone.
  • You can relax and let Jane take care of your property.
  • Simple!
Transferring agency tips

Switching to BonVilla Property is easy. To make the transition super smooth, look out for the following:

  • Don't fall for 'lock in' clauses (Managing Authority Agreements). You are not locked into your current agreement, but you do have to give the required notice.
  • Check what the required termination notice is. Usually it is 30 days; this will be stated in your contract.
  • Check for hidden fees. While most agents won't change an early exit fee, some will. Check your contract before giving notice so you know what to expect.
  • Allow some time for funds to transfer. It can take a month or more for your balance to transfer.
